Anxiety and stress can affect both our inner world and our everyday lives. We are also living through a period of considerable instability, upheaval and uncertainty — socially, financially and geopolitically — and the cumulative strain of this wider environment can make it harder to feel settled and secure.

When stress becomes held in the body
Prolonged stress and anxiety can leave the nervous system in a state of heightened activation, making it difficult to return to a sense of safety and ease. You may notice this not only in your thoughts and emotions, but also in your body — perhaps through tension, restlessness, disrupted sleep or feeling constantly on edge.
Brainspotting is a somatic approach that can be incorporated into therapy when talking and insight alone don't seem to be shifting what you are experiencing.
